Distance from Transit

One of the greatest fallacies in the claims of supporters of Measure Q is that the traffic impact of so many residents in this small isolated area will be limited by use of public transit. When viewed in perspective, it is clear that few if any people will walk the 1.2 or more miles necessary to reach the CalTrain station, or farther to El Camino bus stops.

This map shows the relative distance from key transit points, proximity to Bair Island Wildlife Refuge, and Highway 101, under which a tunnel is planned for pedestrians to trek to their transit points. Common sense indicates that instead, residents will use their cars, further aggravating already bad traffic problems around Whipple, Woodside and Highway 101.
